Tree Boards
A tree board is a group of concerned citizens, usually volunteer, charged by the tree ordinance to develop and administer a comprehensive city tree management program.
Tree Advocates
Tree advocacy groups increase awareness of the benefits of trees, coordinate the planting and care of thousands of trees, develop educational programs, and provide an essential conduit for volunteer action on the local level. Most of these groups collect membership dues and fundraise.
Some examples are:

- Coastal Bryan Tree Foundation
- Cobb Trees

- Marietta TreeKeepers

The Georgia Urban Forest Council (GUFC) is a statewide membership organization whose mission is to sustain Georgia's green legacy by helping communities grow healthy trees, and offers many professional and educational workshops, meetings and conferences throughout the year.
